Liu Wenzheng’s history of gifts and its modern meaning——Using “Essentials of National History” as the center

Abstract: In the academic atmosphere of historical reactions, social evolution, and historical scientificization during the period of the People’s Republic of China, Liu Wencai loves tradition, based on his academic essence with the Nanjing School of Books, he made a creative interpretation of modern history and historian civilization from the perspective of eulogy. Teacher Liu Wenzheng’s teacher, in his 1951 “Automatic Reading”, had a deep impression of his teenage questions, and he was the most powerful of the two teachers Chen Yongnian and Zhao Haohe. , at the age of 23, he was introduced by Chen and was admitted to the school of Nanjing [5]. At that time, Mao claimed that Sheng’s grandfather Mao Zuo was a student of Nanjing, and he also wrote a letter to Liu Wen to recommend that he be appointed as a teacher of Nanjing, saying, “Mr. Xiaoshan is the governor of the mountain in my province. My younger brother and Shanyu (that is, Chen Qingnian) went to study in Nanjing, and were a student of Nanjing. Today, those who are studying in the school also received the school of Nanjing by using a large single post to receive the school. ”【6】After the death of Quan Sun (1919), Teacher Liu, teacher, made a poem to mourn: “The White House has been traveling for ten years, and I take the East China Airlines in the warm spring. Sister Chen, both scholars from Nanjing, and their learning paths have a great influence on Teacher Liu. Zhu Quansun specially recommended Huang Yizhou’s academic performance, and Xun said: “The teacher and teacher regard learning as science, that is, teaching as science. Mr. Wang Jiafan inherited Zhang Qiyun’s words, saying that “(Liu Li) Teacher Cheng was educated by the famous scholar of scholar Zhu Quan, and he followed the governance direction of “taking study as gifts and ceremonies as principles”, that is, buying a public account in the Song Dynasty and combining history and philosophy” [9]. Mr. Wang’s academic focus is on writing and catalogues. Originally, he did not regard his studies as a senior, but Huang Yi Zhou was a major student in the late Qing Dynasty, especially Rong Xue was highly praised by everyone. If Zhang said that there was no mistake, it could be said that when Zhuang was guiding Liu’s treatment, the method described was mostly from Huang Yi Zhou. And this could also be obtained from Zhang Qiyun’s recollection: “Huang Yi Zhou’s name is Xuantong, and he studied in Nanjing Bookstore for fifteen years, and supported many top students. Wu Jingheng (Zhisai) and Zhu Yongjian (Tisheng) both came out of his door, and Master Liu had a deep relationship with Wu and Zhu Yue. There was a right-hand man in Huang Yizhou and said, “See truth from facts and don’t be a polite person.” Mr. Liu often mentioned these eight words. ”【10】

The book “Essentials of National History” begins with the course of history discussions taught by Liu Wen, a senior teacher in Nanjing in 1920 [11].
